Which personal data are we gathering and why are we doing it


When visitors write comments on the website, we gather the data, that is shown in the comment form, and also the visiting IP-adress and the browser’s user agent string to help discover spam.

An anonym string that is set up from your e-mail address (also called a hash), can be delivered to the Gravatar service to see if you use these. The Gravatar service’s privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After confirmation of your comment, your profile picture will be visible for the public along your comments.


If you write a comment on our website, you can choose to save your name, e-mail address and webplace in cookies. These are for your convenience, so you do not have to fill in your informations again, when you write another comment. These cookies will last a year.

If you visit our login page, we establish a temporary cookie to decide whether your browser accepts cookies. These cookies contain no personal data and is deleted, when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will set up a line of cookies to save your log in information and your choice of screen shown. Log in cookies last for two days, and choice of screen cookies last for a year. If you choose “Remember me”, your log in will last two weeks. If you log out of your account, the log in cookies will disappear.

If you edit or publish an article, a further cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and gives up the postID on the article, you have edited. It expires after one day.
